Manchester’s Kalinka Balalaika Orchestra are continuing to raise funds to help vulnerable children in Manchester’s twin city, this year through St. Gregory’s Foundation (reg. Chаrity № 1002469).
In St. Petersburg the charity supports the Sunflower Centre for orphanage-leavers and families whose parents grew up in children’s homes. Last year the centre
trained 41 young parents who had grown up in orphanages to become better
parents
helped 65 teenagers – graduates from orphanages to learn practical life skills
trained 100 specialists: teachers, social workers, local authorities who work
with graduates from children’s homes
